Stalevi deformatsiyni profili serii VE

Steel deformation bridge profiles of the VE series are steel structures of individual manufacture for the arrangement of specific deformation joints of bridges and overpasses. They are manufactured according to the precise dimensions of a specific cross-section of the bridge. A single element can reach a size of 12 m long

(From a technical point of view, it is possible to produce longer elements. Simple transportation of such elements is inconvenient and costly, which means that it is advisable to divide all elements by a multiple of 12 m, and then combine them at the installation site directly during installation)

The main element of the deformation profile of the VE series is a load-bearing steel profile with the ability to insert a rubber V-shaped compensator into it. The bearing steel profile completely repeats the configuration of the cross-section of the roadway of the bridge (slopes, bends, traffic lanes, dividing lanes and sidewalks). The only place where the configuration does not match is the place where the side stones are installed (the transition from the sidewalk to the roadway, or the drop on the dividing strip). These rectangular elements of the bearing profile runs diagonally with cutting right angles. Firstly, for more reliable and expedient welding, and secondly, for the formation of a smooth configuration of the installation of a V-shaped compensator, through which water flows directly on the roadway. First of all, the V-shaped compensator performs the function of waterproofing, being an extremely important characteristic of the design of deformation joints.

From the point of view of manufacturing a deformation profile for a deformation seam, the VE series is an ideal basis. After all, on its basis it is possible to design both minimal classical double-girder profiles VE-80 and VE-100 with displacements - / 40mm ... - / 50mm, and multi-girder modular profiles VE-160 ... 320 ... 560 ... 800 ... 1040 with displacements of - / 520mm, which means to meet the requirements for bridges even with half-kilometer spans. And in fact, it is not difficult to design modular profiles based on the VE series, because the system allows you to design deformation seams of any displacement using a sequential set of beams and compensators. Interestingly, in addition to longitudinal displacements, the VE system also makes it easy to design transverse and vertical displacements, because the deformation seam does not always work only along one axis.  Flexibility in the design of deformation joints based on the VE series is given by the fact that in the assortment of bearing profiles there are variants of a repair profile, a classic profile for the installation of joints in asphalt concrete coatings, a profile for shallow anchoring (an analogue of the Soviet type of deformation joints K8) and a special profile of flat vertical laying for bridges with concrete types of roadway coverings. The latter allows pouring concrete directly under the seam, while working as a non-removable formwork.

As for the anchor fasteners, which are welded to the base of the bearing profile of the structure, three types of anchors are mainly used:

  • Plates with eyelets for tying into the reinforcement of the bridge. As a rule, they are used for large road surface thicknesses, because thanks to the height of the eyelet and the size of the plate, the main profile can be aligned with the design elevation of the carriageway. As a rule, they are welded from the bottom of the profile
  • Anchor hooks, studs and eyelets are used to tie the main bearing profile to the reinforcement frame of the structure with a shallow occurrence of the bridge deformation seam structure. It is relevant on the sidewalk parts and in the manufacture of the repair profile of the deformation seam. They can be welded at the bottom of the profile, at 45 degrees relative to the axis of the seam, or horizontally.
  • Nelson studs are simpler and easier to anchor. They are welded horizontally or at 45 degrees to the vertical axis of the seam. As a rule, they are used in the sidewalk part, repair profiles and profiles of shallow occurrence

All three anchor systems can have any step along the main bearing profile, depending on the needs of the project. Most often, all three types of anchoring are used in a complex (eyelets and plates on the roadway, where there is a large load, and Nelson studs on sidewalks, where there is no load, and the shallow occurrence of the profile itself)

And in addition, all types of profiles of the VE series can be equipped with a sine pad to reduce the dynamic noise from the passage of wheels.

So in the complex, this system is universal and allows you to equip deformation seams in overpasses. overpasses and bridges of any design (steel, monolithic prefabricated, concrete, arched, suspended cable-stayed, etc.)
